NBC Looks to Continue "The Event" Momentum

All summer long we heard about "The Event."

The promotion paid off Monday night when the show debuted. The series premiere was the highest rated drama debut for NBC in three years and delivered a solid audience in a competitive 9 p.m. hour. That was good news for NBC.

Even better news was the show's ratings increased during the final half hour.

Steve Weibe is once again the king of Kong.

Weibe wracked up a score of 1,064,500 points to reclaim the throne. Weibe, a schoolteacher who was featured in the documentary "King of Kong" (again, if you haven't seen it, you should), sent in a video-taped submission that shows him setting the new record.
