Best known for his work on “The Shield,” actor Jay Karnes is joining the cast of “V” this year.
Karnes has been cast as FBI agent Chris Bolling for a multiple episode storyline.
Bolling will be assigned to work Erica Evans as a new partner and will question her divided loyalties and her dedication to the Fifth Column.
Karnes will reunite with former “Shield” producer Scott Rosenbaum on “V.”

“V” returns in November to ABC.
He was routinely excellent on The Shield. Hopefully he'll class up V a little bit.
A very good character actor. Should be interesting how different his character is from that on the shield.
