After a two week run at the top of the box-office chart, two new comers knocked off “The Expendables.”
“The Last Exorcism” took in $21.3 million to debut at the top of the box-office. It was closely followed by “Takes” which took in $21 million.
After that, it was a steep drop-off to number three. That was held by “The Expendables,” taking in $9.5 million. In fourth was “Eat, Pray, Love” with $7.0 million and rounding out the top five was “The Other Guys.”
In other news, the re-release of “Avatar” took in $4 million for 12th place.
So I see that not everyone rushed out to see Avatar again??? Surprise, Surprise.
Takers actually won. Exorcism only made $20.4 million
