"Magneto" Movie Canceled by "First Class"

The odds of audiences seeing Sir Ian McKellan as Magneto again are getting dimmer.

According to producer Lauren Shuler-Donner, the long rumored project centering on the X-Men villain has been “swallowed up” by production on “X-Men: First Class.”

“You know, there’s internal discussions but probably not. It kind of got incorporated into this one, a lot of it,” she said.

Here is yet another frannchise being flushed down the toilet. Let's see- A world Class Star vs some unknowns most likely. Seems a sure winner to me LOL. Well this will pay for another month or 2 of Netflix by me missing this one.

Well it seems the Twilight bandwagon has even struck the X-Men. Cutesy young actors, pretending to be younger than they really are, with super powers. The movie theaters will be packed and story purists be damned!! Get ready for a whole stream of formulaic, mediore, and special effects laden sequels.
