We don’t yet know much about the story, but we do have our first official look at the upcoming “Doctor Who” Christmas special.
The BBC has released the first photo, which shows Matt Smith as the Doctor stepping out of the TARDIS. The photo doesn’t reveal much about the details of the special.
Smith and actress Karen Gillan were equally tight lipped when talking about the special this weekend on the UK’s “The One Show.” Gillan said the special was “snowy.”
Rumors abound that the old-school monsters the Yeti may be part of the story. We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.
Here’s the photo:

Doesn't really tell us anything, but it's very picturesque.
Well, it looks festive. Time to start thinking about the Holidays can you believe it?
Something disastrous is about to happen I know it.
There are rumors going around about the Yeti? Did the Queen herself not say in-show (alibi over the phone) that it would be an Egyptian Goddess? Or perhaps the theory is that that was a lie to get his attention?
On another note, I agree with Karen Gillan. "Snowy."
There were images of plans for an updated Yeti floating around the Internet earlier this year and a lot of reports that they were in the running for the holiday special.
And just because series five ended with that call, doesn't mean that the Christmas special will pick up from there....that adventure could take place off screen.
I am on the edge of my seat for the next Doctor Who series! I LOVED series 1 through 5 and I want to see the next one!!!
