This week’s Entertainment Weekly has a preview of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.
On the cover is the first look at actor Ryan Reynolds in his Green Lantern costume for the upcoming movie.
Directed by Martin Campbell, the film is currently in production for a release next year and is expected to have a must-see panel at Comic Con.

The costume looks cool enough. Now can they match the story? They have to resolve the whole 'Yellow is his Kryptonite' plot line or this is going to be a short movie.
I mean... The bad guys just have to keep a few bug light bulbs burning and they should be relatively safe from Reynolds.
Wow, I really feel iffy about this new Deadpool movie now. I mean, when did he ever wear... oh, what?
Costume looks good, though. I'm not up much on my Green Lantern mythos, so I'm excited for the movie as a "Green Lantern virgin" of sorts.
Jokes commence in 3... 2... 1...
The Green Lantern comics have been brilliant lately, so I hope the movie does the character justice. As for the costume, I wrote my reaction on my blog, but as everyone says, it's the story that will count.
Overall, I like the costume with the exception of the muscle fibers on the green part of the suit. I suspect they felt that a plain suit didn't have enough interest for the eyes.
I'm looking forward to this. Then again, I was looking forward to Last Airbender.
Looks like Will Ferrell.
Jay's right. Kinda has that Ferrell vibe.
Love it. Considering that GL's suit IS a light costruct, it only made sense that the suit was CGI. C'mon, spandex? No.
I'm just hoping for a good storyline that Geof is taking the lead on this.
