On last week’s Slice of SciFi, we brought you news that director Zack Snyder was leaning against up-converting his next movie, “Sucker Punch” to 3-D.
Snyder said that because the film hadn’t been shot to be seen in 3-D and because test footage converted to 3-D hadn’t met his expectations, he didn’t feel that a 3-D version was necessary.
Now it’s been confirmed that the film won’t be converted to 3-D.
Coming spoke to Snyder’s wife and producer Deborah, who says that they’ve abandoned a 3-D version of “Punch.”
She said early tests of the 3D conversion haven’t been up to either her or Zach’s standards, and since it all looks pretty good in 2D anyway, they may as well not risk screwing it up by adding that extra layer.

Excellent! Viva le resistance!
Thank you... Thank You...
Someone who respects quality over massive buckets of cash!
Well that's some one that is not getting "Sucker Punch" in the junk.
What kind of a world do we live in where a movie not being 3D is news? ::le sigh::
Awesome news. It's so gratifying to learn that not every director wants to make a 3D movie just for the sake of it.
All I can is "Duh". If it wasn't made for 3D then don't do it. It's really not news, just a bunch of much to do about nothing. Wasted a minute of my life reading this.
. . . compounded by writing a response to it . . .
Crazy, isn't it?
When I do it I call it "passionate".
