Doctor Who: "The Pandorica Opens" -- A Slice of SciFi Review

Ever since the Doctor returned to our screens in 2005, each season of the show has tried to create a season-long story arc, with varying degrees of success. In the first season, Bad Wolf proved to be a fun novelty, let down by its resolution.

Part of the problem with the previous season story arcs was that the concept of the arc often proved to be far more interesting that the execution and resolution. For all its trying, the new series has yet to have a truly satisfying season finale.

"Toy Story 3" Opens Big

After several disappointing weekends of box-office returns, Hollywood got some good news over the weekend thanks to Disney and Pixar.

"Toy Story 3," powered by solid reviews and buzz, rocketed to the top of the box-office with the largest opening for a movie in June. The animated sequel took in $109 million at the box-office. It also continued Pixar's impressive trend of movies debuting at number one at eleven. That trend is even more impressive when you consider that no Pixar film has ever opened below the number one slot.
