The popular Facebook game “Mafia Wars” appears to be headed to the silver screen.
Pajiba reports that Radar Pictures is currently developing a movie version of the game.
One of the selling points for the game becoming a film is that it already has a background and storyline developed for the movie adapation. Of course, it’s similar to just about every other movie about the mob Hollywood has ever made, but creativity isn’t in high demand these days from movie companies.
Radar is currently working on finding a writer and a producer for the project. No word yet on when production might begin.
So was it called "The Godfather" or "Goodfellas"?
You'll get to see 90% of the movie for free, but you'll have to bring a Zynga card from Target or 7-11 to see that last ten minutes.
It goes without saying that the inevitable sequel will be based on Farmville.
