Many of us are focused on the Marvel movie range that culminates in the summer of 2012 with “The Avengers.” But what will come after the movie?
According to Deadline, the long rumored Doctor Strange movie could be on its way to theaters.
Rumored since 1986, the movie would be the first produced under the new Disney/Marvel partnership.
Marvel Studios has hired “Conant” writers Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer to pen the film.
TreverT says
I realize they will go with some young tweenie, boy band-type guy for this to bring in the yoof, but Timothy Dalton would be PERFECT.
Lejon from Chandler says
….Diz-kneeee & Marv-El…..*sigh*…

Please don’t screw up my childhood…
Please don’t screw up my childhood…
Please don’t screw up my childhood…

@ Trevert
What are you talking about!? They’re not going to use a teen guy! Doctor Strange is like 30, you should probably know what you’re talking about before you spout random shit.
And by the by, Time Warner owns DC, and they’re doing just fine.
Also, Timothy Dalton hasn’t really proved himself.
Summer Brooks says
I always thought Doc Strange was easily in his 40s, having become a well-established surgeon before losing the use of his hands, plus how long he traveled the world looking for something that would restore his hands.
My choices to play him on screen would be Jim Cavieziel, Viggo Mortensen, maybe Zachary Quinto. Michael T. Weiss (Jarod from The Pretender) for some reason also comes to mind. And ya know, if Paul Blackthorne hadn’t already played Harry Dresden, he could have been another option.
Ben Ragunton says
Zachary Quinto is far too young. I actually like TreverT’s idea about having Timothy Dalton in the role. He carries a certain “respectability” that I feel is needed to play Stephen Strange.
