One of the original Daleks used in the 1960′s on “Doctor Who” is headed for auction.
Nicknamed the Wilkie Dalek after Bernard Wilkie, co founder of the BBC Visual Effects Department, the Dalek was used in production of Patrick Troughton’s classic story “Evil of the Daleks.”
Wilkie rescued the Dalek from being scrapped by the BBC and kept it in his home.
The Dalek will be auctioned off June 23 at Bonhams in London. It is up for sale with a number of other Doctor Who exhibition items following the closure of the Doctor Who Museum in Blackpool last year.
Our news director is encouraging fans to donate to Slice of SciFi so that we can bid on the Dalek for the Draco Vista Studios.

If you guys buy it will he be part of the show as a host?
