One of the icons of cinema is headed for Blu-Ray.
The original 1933 version of “King Kong” is headed for Blu-Ray later this year according to the Hollywood Reporter. The two disc set will feature the digitally remastered version of the film from the DVD release a couple of years ago as well as all the extras from that set.
The Blu-ray will come with a 32-page booklet featuring rare photographs and trivia and is written by film historian Rudy Behlmer, who apparently personally interviewed “Kong” creator Merian C. Cooper back in the day.
