Freddy Scares Up Box Office Success

Audiences were looking for a good scare before the summer blockbuster season kicks-off.

And to scare them, they looked to the re-imagined Freddy Krueger to do it.

The reboot of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" opened at number one this weekend, taking in $32.2 million. The debut at number one means that Freddy has had a movie debut at number one in four decades, according to USA Today.
