While the ratings for the series finale of “Lost” may not have been record-setting, the finale has set a record. It’s one of the fastest downloaded files on file sharing networks.
BitTorrent reports the finale was downloaded 900,000 times in the first 20 hours after it aired with 100,000 seeding the episode. Part of this may have occurred because the Cleveland ABC station had technical issues and didn’t air the finale Sunday night. It was repeated last night in a late night time slot and ABC will repeat the finale Saturday evening.
And, of course, the 900,000 is those torrents that were tracked. Odds are there were more that were untracked.
