Okay guys, which distracted you more:
Coming down from your chat with Felicia Day, or the Batman porn trailer?
Or is browser having an accident and not picking up any option to listen to the show?

“Pixels” reminds me of Doomsday Arcade, a web series that recently wrapped up on The Escapist. It’s about two teenagers on the run in Australia when videogame characters come to life and start invading the real world. It starts off a bit shaky but rapidly find it’s footing, and is filled with more pop-culture and videogame references than you can shake a lazercat at.

OK, now you have gone & done it – two chart topping show segments that required 100% of my attention. Doc said I should pay .. see the kitty .. Oh, sorry.
Felicia Day, star of “The Guild,” (notice your comma is hiding behind that quote) was a pleasure to listen to and sold me on her show. [buy now] and Pixels is fantastic. Then of course there is Nigel. All the other fun yah’ll have is great, however, I can work on and convert H.264 to MJPEG so my antique iMac can play it and listen.
That is all I have. Later -f

Yeah, the Firefly trivia question centers around the knitted cap Jayne’s mother sent to him. 🙂

No matter who the guest is, I generally conclude they are “presenting” their public persona, that they are “on-the-job”; not so with Ms. Day.
She might just be that good an actress, but she got me believing she’s a person who is smart, has a good sense of humor, is grounded in reality, and would be a pleasure to meet and talk to not just in the context of her celebrity status, but because she is both nice and interesting.
That now makes one (1) person who shattered my low opinion of celebrities. Too small a sample to raise hope for more, but enough not to write off the lot as a vacuous blob of human flesh.
On a side note, my Roku is now entertaining me with series 1-3 of The Guild. Good stuff.
