MTV has given the green light for the “Teen Wolf” series to go into production.
Based on the 1980′s movie starring Michael J. Fox, the series will follow a seemingly normal teenager who discovers that his family has a unique secret. Tyler Posey will star as the title character.
MTV is hoping to cash on the current rage of supernatural angst shows with this offering.
No word yet on when the series may air.

Well, werewolf themed properties don't seem to fair very well commerically. Unless you're a bloodsucker, in aporperty WITH bloodsuckers or sparkle in the sunlight... or a zombie, the market seems pretty apathetic to the genre.
