A couple of years ago, Pixar announced it was developing a new animated movie called “Newt.” The proposal said the film would show us what happens when the last remaining male and female blue-footed newts on the planet are forced together by science to save the species, and they can’t stand each other?
Pixar has announced that it has decided to no longer pursue the film and is canceling production.
The film was to be director Gary Rydstrom’s first feature after making his mark with the Pixar short film “Lifted”, which came out in 2006.

No more newt?!? . . . did it get better?
