Vandervoort Reveals Lisa's Motivations

As “V” leads up to its season finale in the coming weeks, actress Laura Vandervoort promises that viewers will get some clarity on the motivations of her character, Lisa.

Lisa, the daughter of invasion leader Anna, has been working in the past couple of weeks to persuade Tyler to come on board the ships as part of the “live on-board” program. Fans of the show know that the program hides a secret agenda but they may not be sure if Lisa is aware of it.

“I have to say, by the next episode it’s going to be clear to the audience what side I’ve chosen,” Vandervoort tells SciFi Wire. “So you have to wait and see. I know at least at the beginning you didn’t know whether or not I was evil as well, like my mother. Then it started to change a little bit, but since the blow from my mother, I don’t know if that scared Lisa enough to just forget her feelings for Tyler altogether or not.”

Even if she picks a side, Lisa will probably still have to keep up appearances. If she chooses to save Tyler, she’ll have to make Anna believe she’s still for the cause. If she chooses to help Anna destroy the Earthlings, she’ll have to make Tyler love her again.

“There’s quite a few things that she’s trying to hide, and she’s juggling a few tasks at the same time,” Vandervoort said. “Protecting Tyler is kind of her main goal right now, because she is, from what the audience has seen, truly in love. At the same time, her mother is a very powerful person, especially in their race, and she needs to be careful not to upset her, because she is next in line for queen. Without her there is no future queen, so she also has to watch her people’s back as well. If her mother chose to destroy her, then her race wouldn’t have a future.”

As if that wasn’t enough to entice you to watch in the coming weeks, Vandervoort also revealed she’ll have a few scenes in her underwear in the coming episodes.

“Those aren’t really the most exciting things to film, especially leading up to it,” Vandervoort joked. “But, in the next episode, yes, I unfortunately—I don’t know, fortunately?—will be down to my skivvies again. But this time it’s for a different purpose.”

Who's Lara? Nothing like an article written by someone who has obviously never seen the show.

Yeah, a few oddities in this article popped out at me to like when the writer says

"As if that wasn’t enough to entice you to watch in the coming weeks, Vandervoort also revealed she’ll have a few scenes in her underwear in the coming episodes"

I could be wrong but I think she already has and I think that was early this season.

Ok, first of all there is no Lara, it's Lisa and secondly Lisa was trying to get Tyler to live aboard the ship and succeeded. Then when she began to see what her mother has planned she felt Tyler would be in danger so she broke it off with him.

Please get this show off the air. I'm putting up with it week over week, amazed that the poor effects, acting, and corny scripts. Syfy level scifi for 12 year olds.

    Uh Chuck,
Your remote allows you to change channels you know. Just a FYI. Unless youre in a remake of Clockwork Orange, you should have control over that.
