Reasons Why "Flash Forward" Could Get Renewed

Despite falling ratings for "Flash Forward," the series could still be in good shape for a renewal next season, according to E! On-Line's Kristen Dos Santos.

Dos Santos says that the series is an affordable one for ABC to produce and that it generates enough money in overseas sales to possibly justify a second season.

3-D once again topped the box-office last weekend with the animated "How To Train Your Dragon" rising back to the top spot over the newly opened and highly anticipated "Kick Ass."

"Dragon" took in $20.0 million over the weekend. "Kick Ass" was second with $19.8 million.

Sony Not Happy With "Green Hornet"

Further proof that Hollywood should listen to our regular and voice mail shows more often. If they'd done that, they might have saved themselves a lot of trouble.

IESB reports that Sony has seen a final cut of the Seth Rogan, Michael Gondry version of "The Green Hornet" and they aren't happy with it. According to the report, Sony executives think the film is too campy and that Rogan doesn't look the part of the Hornet.

New Animated Spider-Man Series Coming

The merger of Disney and Marvel will give fans a new animated take on everyone's favorite wall-crawler in 2011.

SciFi Squad reports that "Ultimate Spider-Man" is headed to Disney XD. The new animated series will take the title from the popular reboot comic book series but probably will not follow any of the story arcs created by the comic book. The series, penned by Brian Michael Bendis, has won fan and critical praise for its update and different take on the Spider-Man mythology.

Survey Finds People Want "Twilight" Books Banned

The latest survey of banned books indicates that the "Twilight" series ranks as the fifth most requested books to be banned by public libraries.

The latest report on "challenged books" by the American Library Associations indicates that Meyer is in good company along with the Harry Potter novels and several other classics for the most "challenged books."
