SyFy has released the first trailer for their upcoming “Phantom” mini-series.
The four-hour mini-series (which is a back door pilot for a series) debuts on June 20.

Until I saw the costume I was going to bypass this. Now? I will be DVR'ing this.
The Phantom to me is what Dr. Who is to some, Spiderman is to others, and The Flash if to the Big Bang Theory guys . . . except I am not rabid about it.
Movie treatment has not been kind, but I am hopeful, despite this Phantom not looking very Phantomesque.
At the very least it looks like a decent action flick incorporating some of the mythos, and approaching it with controlled expectations will ensure minimum disappointment.
It looks as though it could be worth watching. It seems pretty predictable, though.
If the show keeps up with the trailer then I' m behind it a 100 %. I've always been a big fan of Doc Savage, The Avenger, The Shadow, and so on. Lets hope this goes over like gangbusters!
