Actor Robert Downey Jr. has brought Tony Stark and Sherlock Holmes to life in the last year. So why not the Wizard of Oz?
The actor is negotiating to play the role of the Wizard in Sam Mendes’ upcoming “Oz the Great and Powerful.”
The movie is a prequel to the classic film, “The Wizard of Oz” and is one of two “Oz” projects on the horizon.
No word yet on how this role might fit into the actor’s busy schedule. Downey is also contracted to play Holmes again in the upcoming sequel.
