The gaming world was buzzing yesterday when Microsoft confirmed that a third “Gears of War” game was coming soon.
News of the project leaked inadvertently last week on an ad on X-Box Live.
The ad was removed but the cat was out of the bag.
The shooter for Xbox 360 is expected to arrive April 5, 2011. “Gears of War” creator Cliff Bleszinski made the official announcement on NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon”.
“This is definitely the biggest and most dramatic chapter yet in the Gears of War saga, and we can’t wait to deliver it,” Bleszinski said in a statement.
“Gears of War 3″ features hero Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad as they fight off the Locust horde and a new threat called the Lambent.
