Yesterday we reported that actor Logan Lerman had been cast for the upcoming reboot of “Spider-Man.”
Apparently, we spoke too soon.
Deadline reports that the news that Lerman was a lock for the role are not true. In fact, Deadline reports that the young actor who starred in the first “Percy Jackson” film is out of the running entirely to play Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. The report cites anonymous sources at Sony Pictures.
“These sources were very definitive in denying the story, and were sure that Logan was 100% not going to be Spidey and that he is not on the list of candidates being seriously considered for the new film,” reports Deadline.
If this latest report is true, then Lerman is no longer in contention to swing into the production of the iconic superhero’s impending revival.
