March 9, 2010 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: Film News

The House of Mouse has relented.

Yesterday we reported that Disney was holding back on releasing the trailer for “Tron: Legacy” on-line.

Less than a day later, the trailer has officially been released to the on-line universe.

Looks cool. I will go see it.
For those that saw the original in theatres though it was a breakthrough film. Something never seen before, like Avatar is today. Nothing will compare. But I will enjoy revisiting Tron for sure.

Whoops. Didn’t see this when I posted on the other thread. Anyway, the release of the trailer was part of an ARG campaign. Once the players unlocked the site, the trailer was let go to the public.

So far I really like what I am seeing from the Tron trailers. Nothing in your face, they’re not really trying to wow you with big explosions or huge fight scenes, and it looks like they’re taking their time in upgrading the light cycles and other machines.

I also like how they’re bringing back Bruce Boxleitner for this, Tron to Babylon 5 to Tron again! I’ll bet he’d be a great interview as a guest for Slice of Sci-Fi!

*praying* Lord, please don’t let this suck because I will be dishing out $13 of my hard earned money to see this on IMAX 3D.

Sweet !!! Old enough to see the original when it came out. Hope this one is just as good.

I LOVE IT!!! It has a slightly darker look to it in terms of storytelling (not a bad thing) and the graphics are spectacular.

Having Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner both in this film is great. Of course, given the name of the movie I have to wonder, will Tron himself also make an appearance???
