Henson Confirms “Dark Crystal,” “Labyrinth” Comic Books

Following the success of the recently published “Fraggle Rock” comics, the Jim Henson Company announced this week that new comic books based on “The Dark Crystal” and “Labyrinth” will be coming to a comic store near you next year.
“Those will be attacked next,” said Melissa Segal, senior vice president of global consumer products at Jim Henson Company. “We haven’t gotten into real development, but we definitely have that in our agreement with Archaia to pursue.
Segal says that the Henson and comic-book publisher Archaia are focusing on the “Fraggle” launch for most of 2010 and that the earliest we’d see the two comics based on the popular films is late 2010 or early 2011.
