"Terminator" Rights Sold

The bad news is that Joss Whedon's bid for the "Terminator" franchise has not proved successful.

The rights to the franchise have sold to an investment banking group, Pacificor for $29.5 million. The group consists of several bankers who hold all of the previous owner Halcyon's debt (a debt that caused Halcyon to go bankrupt, leading to the sale of the franchise rights in the first place).

"Saw VII" To End Series?

Could Nolan Oversee Superman?

Christopher Nolan resurrected the Batman franchise. Now it appears that Warner Brothers may want him to try resurrecting the Man of Steel on the big-screen.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Warner would like Nolan and the creative team behind "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" to take a "godfather" role in shepherding Superman back to the silver screen. The team would serve as s sounding board for ideas for the project.
