Actor David Anders, familiar to fans of “Alias” and currently seen in this season of “24,” has signed on for a guest role on the CW’s “The Vampire Diaires.”
TV Guide reports that Anders will play an uncle to Jeremy and Elena.
The show previously introduced an older Jonathan Gilbert in a flashback, but a rep for the show says this is an entirely different character.
Anders will first appear on the show in the April 15 episode.
