The man who brought Vic Mackey and Benjamin Grimm to life has signed on for the new Fox comic-book based series, “No Ordinary Family.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Emmy-award winning actor Michael Chiklis (he won for the first season of “The Shield,” which is you’ve not seen it, stop reading and go get the DVDs immediately!) has signed for the lead role in the Fox pilot.
Chiklis plays the father of a family that has superpowers. The pilot was created for ABC by Jon Feldman and Greg Berlanti — who is also one of the screenwriters of the “Green Lantern” feature film. The actor reportedly passed on several other pilot offers to pursue this role.
Chiklis is also releasing a comic book series called “Pantheon” through IDW in April.
