Leterrier Talks About Norton Returning As the Hulk

What would it take to see Edward Norton step onto the big-screen as the Incredible Hulk?

For the past several weeks, many of us have wondered that, especially with rumors leaking out that the Hulk may be the impetus for bringing the Avengers together on the big-screen.

Director Louis Leterrier, who helmed “The Incredible Hulk” says that bringing back Norton could happen, if the role was interesting to the actor.

“If you find something interesting — yeah, I’m sure he would [be back],” said Leterrier. “He’s a fanboy. He’s as big a fanboy as you and me, maybe even more.”

“It depends,” Leterrier told MTV News. “It’s not a Marvel/Edward thing, it would be really be about, well… We told the story of the fugitive, what’s the next step in the story?”

“It can’t just be ‘Don’t make me angry, you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry,’” he explained. “That would be a problem if you do the same thing over and over again. Edward’s never done the same movie twice, so I don’t think he would do that.”

Leterrier said that while he’d love to work on another “Hulk” movie he doesn’t think a solo vehicle for the character will happen any time soon. He said the box office totals for “Incredible” were good, but not enough to justify a sequel.
