After a hiatus of almost two years, the animated series, “The Boondocks” is returning.
Variety reports that series creator Aaron McGruder announced the return via his Twitter feed. According to the Tweet, the series is currently in production and expected to air in 2010.
No network has been announced, but the series was most recently seen on Adult Swim.
Based on McGruder’s cartoon strip, “The Boondocks” examines an African-American family who has moved from Chicago to the suburbs outside Washington, D.C., and quickly discovers the challenges of living in a different culture.
