As the second season of “Fringe” continues to play out, a lot of questions will be answered and some more raised.
But one of the most interesting questions that will be looked at in 2010 is what happened to Peter’s mom.
According to EW’s Michael Ausiello, the role of Peter’s mom and Walter’s wife has been cast. Mrs. Bishop will be played by Irish actress Orla Brady.
Brady has previously appeared on television in the James Woods series “Shark” and according to Ausiello the character of Mrs. Bishop is described as as ” strong, smart, and likable.”
The casting news has raised some questions among fans of the show, including the age difference between Brady and series star, John Noble. Brady is 48 and Noble is 61.
Some speculation says that she could appear in flashbacks of Peter’s youth or that this Mrs. Bishop could be from the parallel universe.
