Pitt Falls Into “Dark Void”

November 20, 2009 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: Film News

Actor Brad Pitt has signed on for the big-screen adaptation of the popular video-game “The Dark Void” Variety reports.

“Dark Void” follows a pilot who crash lands in the Bermuda Triangle following a routine mission and finds himself in an alternate world resembling a primitive Earth where aliens with superior technology are planning to take over civilization.

Capcom will release the vidgame on various platforms in North America and Europe in January next year.

Pitt’s production company will produce the film, which may serve as a starring role for the Academy Award nominated actor and could be a lucrative franchise.

Brad Pitt is a great actor and he usually doesn’t sign on to a movie just for a paycheck. I actually haven’t even heard of the game but the premise as a movie could work unlike the upcoming Monopoly.
