Actress Pam Grier will join “Smallville” later this season as Agent Amanda Waller reports EW’s Michael Ausiello.
Waller is a character from the DC Universe and will serve as a potential adversary on the ninth season of the CW’s drama.
Waller has been a prominent player in the comics, fans may know her from Justice League Unlimited, in which she serves as the head of Project Cadmus, which is designed as a counterforce to the Justice League should that ever become necessary.
Grier will appear in the second half of the upcoming Justice League two parter in January. She will then appear in a recurring role through the rest of the season.

Grier is good, but kinda wish they had scooped up CCH Pounder as she did the voice for Amanda Waller in all the JLU eps (and I think in S/B: Public Enemies as well). She’s a decent actor, recently seen in Warehouse 13, where she comes off a bit harsh, so I think her actual acting of Amanda would fit quite nicely with the voice.
Anyway, its great to see these seasons bring a lot of the mythos we’ve all wanted to see for some time now!

Oh, that sounds fun. I remember Amanda Waller almost exclusively as the head of the Suicide Squad (aka DC does The Dirty Dozen), and later as the Black Queen of Checkmate.

Ok… THAT’S a great choice.
