"This Is It" Tops Box Office

The Michael Jackson concert movie, “This Is It” topped the box office over the weekend, taking in $21.3 million.  The film opened last Wednesday and has already taken in $32.5 million domestically.

Sony Pictures, which released the film and initially said the movie would play for two weeks, announced Sunday that it would play through the Thanksgiving weekend. Sony’s “$60 million to acquire rights was money well spent,” says Paul Dergarabedian of Hollywood.com.

Last week’s top draw, “Paranormal Activity” continued to scare up solid business at the box-office with a $16.5 million take.

“Law Abiding Citizen” continues to deliver solid box-office results, coming in at number three with $7.3 million in ticket sales.

“Couples Retreat” and “Saw VI” rounded out the top five for the Halloween weekend.

If he had not of died no one would care. He was a washed up pedophile until his death. I do not know how you can be a fan of such a sick and demented person as MJ. I blame the people and his family more than MJ. I cannot wait until he is no longer making news. Go RIP please!!!!!
