“Star Wars Uncut” Trailer

October 29, 2009 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: Fan Films, Film News

A couple of weeks ago, we brought you news about the fan project “Star Wars Uncut.”

The project broke down the orginal entry in the saga of “a galaxy far, far away” into 15 second segments and asked fans to claim and recreate that section of the film anyway they wanted.  The results would then be edited together into a full length cut of the film.

According to the Star Wars Uncut web site, work is now 75% finished on the final film.

And now they’ve got a preview for you to check out.  You can also follow the fan project on Twitter.

It looks great. I can’t wait to see the whole thing. I though it was just going to be people in cheesy costumes, but the use of animation, story boards and even twitter really makes this a must see for me.
