    It’s not Cupid, Mr. Hickerson.

    It’s Castle.

Learn it, know it, live it. ;)

The show is called “Castle” not “Cupid”!

“Cupid”? Sure you don’t mean “Castle”?

    Also: AWESOME!

:D - Where did “Cupid” come from?

Correct it is Castle. I love the daughter’s comment “Didnt you wear that 5 years ago? It’s time to move on.” and the musical cues are brilliant. Later on Fillion even references Buffy when examining a ‘Vampire’ who had been staked through the heart. We were waiting for a Captain Hammer ‘Corporate Tool’ reference for the hat-trick, but if it was there, we missed it. A wonderful show, though not genre.

Accurate down to the gun. I love it! :)

I love Nathan, I loved Firefly/Serenity, and I love Castle. If you aren’t watching it, you should be! Funny, smart and well-written. And it acknowledges Nathan’s fans - plus he really does love the costume.

Ditto, please get the name of the show right!

Sure, Castle really isn’t genre, but it’s darn fun and wonderful to see Fillion in a role where he can truly live up to his natural level of snark.

The “Didn’t you wear that 5 years ago? It’s time to move on” comment was brilliant. The episode itself was pretty weak though.

“The episode itself was pretty weak though.”

Weak? It’s the best episode this season so far.

Wasn’t there a Captain Hammer Tool reference? When he held up the power tool after carving the pumpkin ?

This show may not be genre but it is probably one of the best show on TV right now. Also it is full of geek and genre refererences. I nearly did a spit-take when the detective made the Frank Miller comments. And I giggled like a school girl when he came out in the “space cowboy” outfit.

Jeff, you weren’t the only one! I had just got home about 15min in, and jumped the DVR back to the beginning, and when I saw that scene, I replayed it a couple times, laughing my ass off!

I honestly think that right now, this is the only show I’m making an attempt to watch “live”, even though I’m recording it. I’ve been fighting getting the Season 1 DVD, but I may have to put that one on my Winter Holiday wish list.

OMG!!!!! As a browncoat I was ecstatic for the reference and simultaneously hurt by the “it’s time to move on” comment. I was screaming in delight and pain. I refuse to move on! I did not watch last season because I just couldn’t process Nathan in this new role: it’s so…….un-Mal. I just couldn’t buy it. This season, my dearest is making me watch it and after this ep I am sooooo glad.

Its slightly funny that people find Nathan Fillion’s role in this show so “un mal-like”, because I honestly believe that in this show, Nathan is just being himself, and that his role as Mal was so un nathan-like. Not that there’s a problem with that, he’s brilliant in both.

BTW, there was a Firefly reference in the previous episode as well. Though much, much more subtle. Nathan mentioned it over Twitter and after watching for it twice, finally had to Google the dang thing :P
