Live Action, 3-D “Ghost in the Shell” Coming

Japanese anime is a hot property to re-imagine for the silver screen in Hollywood these days.

Add to that list one of the most popular anime properties, “Ghost in the Shell.”

Variety reports that DreamWorks has tapped writer Laeta Kalogridis to adapt the popular magna for a live action adventure.  The film will be shot for 3-D according to the report.

Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul of Seaside Entertainment are attached to produce and originally brought the project to DreamWorks.
