Fox’s Sunday evening programming airs under the banner of “Animation Domination.”
It looks like Fox is planning to add some more animation in the hopes of continuing its domination of the Sunday ratings.
The network has put two new animated series into development, Variety reports.
The first is a new series from actor Jonah Hill. The show will center on a 7-year-old socialite who acts and talks like an adult — and finds himself out of his element when forced to attend public school. The new project will be developed by 20th Century Fox’s animation division.
Also from 20th Century Fox’s animation division is a project based on the long-running graphic novel series, “The Bradleys.”
“The Bradleys,” which centers on a dysfunctional suburban family (through the eyes of teen Buddy Bradley), was first published in the early 1980s. It led to follow-ups “Neat Stuff” and “Hate.”

Wow.
Now these are two shows that I completely and totally won’t be watching.
I don’t think I’m going to be watching this “space western” thing they’re trying to develope either since the HAD a perfectly good one and killed it.

Yeah. We know. Firefly was canceled. No amount of whining and complaining is going to do a thing to change it. Get over it already.

I greet this with a resounding “meh.”
As much as I enjoy the current Fox animation lineup (I still haven’t warmed up to The Cleveland Show yet though), I see no out-of-the-gate appeal of either premise. With the kids of South Park, Family Guy’s Stewie, and now Cleveland’s Rollo, the last thing animation needs is yet another overly-worldly child character, and The Bradleys just sounds like it’s probably a thinly-disguised pseudo-memoir of the creator’s teen years. How about a decent animated non-comedy for a change?

I don’t watch their animation lineup anymore, and these new shows don’t sound like they’re going to entice me back. Oh well. I’m sure someone will enjoy them.
Mike From Des Moines says
Isn’t it about time for an animated Firefly series??
Lurch says
You mean something like this?
