The new comedy “Zombieland” had a solid opening, taking in $25 million at the box-office this weekend and securing the top spot.
In second, dropping out of the top spot after holding it for two weeks, was the animated hit “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.” “Cloudy” was one of two animated offerings in the top five this weekend with $16.7 million in ticket sales.
Third place went to the 3-D re-releases of “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2,” taking in $12.5 million.
“The Invention of Lying” opened in fourth with $7.4 million. In fifth was Bruce Willis’ “Surrogates.”
