After expressing a desire to possibly step away from the franchise after two successful installments, director Michael Bay is returning to the universe of robot on robot action.
The director confirmed in his blog that he is returning to helm “Transformers 3″ and that the opening date will be the summer of 2011.
Bay also said that actress Megan Fox would return as well. Fox made some comments about working with the director this summer, comparing Bay to Napoleon.
“I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture,” Bay writes. “Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.”
