Updated "The Prisoner" Debuts November 15

AMC’s highly anticipated new version of the cult classic, “The Prisoner” will make its debut on Sunday, November 15 from 8 – 10pm ET/PT.

A reinterpretation of the 1960s cult classic, “The Prisoner” will air over three consecutive nights, with two episodes each evening, from 8-10pm ET/PT.

Fans can watch all 17 episodes of the original 1960s “The Prisoner” in full screen on www.amctv.com. Each episode of AMC’s mini-series will also be available On Demand the day following the linear premiere with select cable operators.

“The Prisoner” tells the story of a man, Six (Caviezel), who wakes up to find himself inexplicably trapped in a mysterious and surreal place, The Village, with no memory of how he arrived. As he frantically explores his new environment, he discovers that Village residents are identified by number, have no memory of any prior existence, and are under constant surveillance. The Village is controlled by one man – the sinister and charismatic Two (McKellen). Throughout the series, Six and Two are locked in a battle of wits, as Six challenges the oppressive nature of The Village and struggles to learn the truth behind it.

    I'm going to miss The Prisoner since my cable system dropped AMC recently.

    @Jarik

    I have no doubt you will probably be able to get it at AMC's online site soon after each episode airs on the tele. There is also BT Airlines or possibly iTunes and later on Netlfix.

    Thankfully, we live in the age of multi-sources.

    I'll be watching, full of curiosity, hope, and with high expectations: I'm a long-time fan and student of The Prisoner and, even as a fan of Jim Caviezel and admirer of Ian McKellen's body of work, the classic and original version with Patrick McGoohan and Leo McKern will be a tough hand to beat.

    Best of luck to all involved.
