Warner Brothers Bows Out of "He Man"

Even as they’re setting up division to tackle DC universe projects, Warner Brother is jumping out of another potential franchise.

Variety reports that the studio has decided to cut ties with the Joel Silver produced live-action version of “He Man and the Masters of the Universe.”  The studio had been developing the project since 2007.

According to reports, WB and toy maker Matel didn’t see eye to eye on over the direction of the project and made a mutual decision to let the option lapse this month. The film revolves around He-Man, a prince who becomes a warrior who battles the evil Skeletor for control of his magical homeland.

Matel is now free to begin shopping the project to another studio, but will have to do so without Silver as producer.  Silver has an exclusive deal with Warner Brothers.

Ok... Warner Brothers just found some more money for Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles... They can spend it on Season 3 or a direct to DVD movie...
