New “Lost” Cast Member

TELEVISION-US-LOSTActor John Hawkes, best know for his work on HBO’s “Deadwood,” has signed on f0r a recurring role on the upcoming season of “Lost” reports Rueters.

He will play Lennon, the scruffy, edgy and charismatic spokesman and translator for the president of a foreign corporation, who is far more powerful than he seems.

No word yet on how many episodes will feature Hawkes.

The actor has also been seen in “American Gangster” and “Miami Vice.”

“Lost” returns for its final season in 2010.

    Lost’s casting calls are ridiculously inaccurate. Their calls for Jacob and his nemesis were all about “he’s a charismatic/cunning business leader.”

    Hawkes is a fabulous actor. He will be a great addition to an already stellar cast for Lost.

    That’s true, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that that’s who they’re playing on the show. They probably just want that kind of general mindset.
