NGC Drains the Ocean

July 30, 2009 by Sam Sloan   || Category: TV News

In order to help save the Earth’s oceans and everything that lives in them on August 9 at 8 PT the National Geographic Channel will Drain The Ocean.

This is a world you have never seen before a world normally hidden under miles of water, the landscape of the ocean bed. Combining the latest scientific data with state of the art CGI computer hardware and specially written software, NGC drains the water from the oceans to reveal the mountains, canyons, plains and volcanoes that are more dramatic than anything currently seen today on dry land.

[Note: The headline picture shows computer-generated image of the cliffs of the Grand Bahama Bank after water has been drained away.]

Neat! I’ll definitely make a point to watch that.

Can anyone identify the narrator? My first thought was Avery Brooks, but the accent is wrong and imdb doesn’t have the show listed yet.
