Brian Austin Green Joins “Smallville”

June 18, 2009 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: TV News

Actor Brian Austin Green wasn’t out of work long.    The actor has signed on to join the ninth season of “Smallville” according to TV Guide On-Line.

Who will he play, you ask.

His role might be considered SPOILER material, so if you don’t want to know, stop reading now.

According to TV Guide, Green will play Superman villian Metallo in the upcoming season.  His character will appear in at least two episodes of the upcoming season according to reports.

This won’t be the first time Metallo has been brought to life on the television screen.  Fans may recall that Metallo menaced “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” during its run.  In that case, the role was played by Scott Valentine.  Valentine is probably best known for his role as Nick, the boyfriend of Mallory Keaton on “Family Ties.”

Brian Austin Green was one of the few bright points on “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”. I look forward to seeing him again on “Smallville”.

This could be badass. Then again, Doomsday could’ve been badass. It’s also a bit disappointing because BAG has said in interviews that he really really really really really want to play Green Lantern.

    Doomsday was, until the finale.
