While promoting his new movie, “Drag Me to Hell,” director Sam Raimi took a moment to address the persistent rumors about the next villian(s) our favorite web-head could face in “Spider-Man 4.”
A few months ago, rumors began to circulate that Raimi wanted Spidey to face off against the vampire Morbius for the next installment. While Raimi would neither confirm nor deny the story, he did say that he had “soft spot” for the character.
“What? I don’t know anything about that” Raimi told MTV News. “I guess they’re very appealing. Like the best of villains, they have some positive qualities.”
“They can be very sexy and alluring, and the way in which they attack you is very sensual,” continued Raimi. “It’s almost something you desire.”
Production on the next “Spider-Man” installment will begin later this year. Raimi’s new movie, “Drag Me to Hell” opens in theaters on Friday.

I would love it if Raimi surprised everyone and opted for Morbeus, imagine how dark that would be?
It’s just a shame that he never gave Venom the love he deserved or we could all be talking about Carnage right about now…
