Ridley Scott Has An Idea for “Alien” Prequel

Ridley Scott Has An Idea for “Alien” Prequel

April 30, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

While attending the premiere of “Wolverine” in Tempe, Arizona, IESB asked Fox Co-chairman Tom Rothman about a rumored prequel to “Alien” involving director Ridley Scott.

“There’s been some talk. Ridley Scott, Ridley is right now working on Robin Hood, but I think he’s toying with the idea and that would be great for us,” Rothman told the site. “I mean, it’s always been a matter of, really, if you can get the originator to do it that would be the greatest thing, so I’ve got my fingers crossed, all of them.”

After a couple of installments of the “Alien vs Predator” franchise, is it time for us to return to the Alien universe alone?  Or should they let sleeping dogs lie?

Aliens Vs. Predator is just as bad as Harry/Malfoy slash fic. If R.C. has a good idea, bring it on.

Rothman needed to start a rumor for people to get excited about after Wolverine; this just in X-Men Origins: Wolverine is going to suck: http://www.newsy.com/videos/wolverine_declawed/

I think this is a great idea! I for one would like to see the space jockey brought to life and maybe see why he and (crew?) were transporting all those eggs. What was their destination? Hmmm? Earth, maybe for conquest? Hmmm?

Hey! How about someday a t.v. series about a captured alien having a human brain transplanted into it and the government’s efforts to catch it after it gets loose?
