We may not know who will play the title character yet, but we do know when and where “Green Lantern” will be shooting.

SciFi Wire reports Warner Brothers’ production of “Green Lantern” will begin filming this fall at Fox Studios Australia in Sydney. Pre-production on the film will begin in July, with filming set to start in November. Warner Brothers would like to open the film in December of 2010.

“Casino Royale” director Martin Campbell is directing the film, from a script by Greg Berlanti and Michael Green.

Actor Chris Pine had been rumored to be the leading candidate for the role of the Green Lantern. However, Pine has denied the rumors and stated that he hasn’t spoken to anyone about the role.
