Affleck Swears Off Comic Book Movies
A couple of weeks ago, we brought you news that 20th Century Fox was considering a reboot of several comic-book franchises, including “Daredevil.” With the box-office success of “Dark Knght,” a new, darker version of “Daredevil” might be intriguing. And should it happen, the series would have to go on without Ben Affleck.
Affleck, who played the role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil, in the first film recently told MTV News that he was done with comic book movies and was officially swearing them off.
“No, I would not do another,” he said. “That experience was not that much fun. And it’s not something I’m particularly looking to go through again.”
Commercially, the film was a modest success for 20th Century Fox, taking in over $100 million. Creatively, it has its detractors and critics. Many argue the DVD director’s cut edition is a superior version and should have been released theatrically.
However, while Affleck hasn’t exactly been box-office gold lately, he said that he’s not eager to step into superhero tights again any time soon. And when asked if he might be interested in “Daredevil” went darker, Affleck again insisted he’s through with the role.

Yeah, not too sad about that.
I can’t say I’m terribly upset by the choice, but I did feel that he did a fine job in the role, and the Director’s cut is a high-step above the theatrical release.
A darker Affleck free Daredevil? Bring it on.
unless of course, it’s directed by Kevin Smith
That’s awesome because, as a fan of comic book movies, I swore of Affleck years ago. I’m glad that he’s finally come around to my way of thinking. I didn’t realize I was a visionary. Thanks, Ben!
We won’t miss him
Fair enough since I already swore off Ben Affleck years ago.
