The only bad thing is that I have to wait until 10:20 to start watching so I can FFWD through the commercials
I'm going to re-watch PART 1 while PART 2 is recording then while the last hour of PART 2 is still recording, I'll be watching the first hour of PART 2.....yummmm!
http://galacticasitrep.blogspot.com/2009/03/your-last-2-hours-and-11-minutes.html
Apparently an extra 11 min in length.
IT....WAS.....AWSOME!
It was Pretty Good. But kinda predictable !!!!
It was... "meh"
I really liked it. I had a few minor quibbles with it, but to be honest I think that's true of EVERY TV show I watch.
Some of the response in the blogosphere on the other hand, jeezum crow! The way these guy (and girls), some of whom I used to respect, are reacting you'd think that not only was it the worst ever put on television in the device nearly 80 year history, but that Ron Moore, David Eick, Eddie Olmos, and Mary McDonnell all came to their houses personally, and proceeded to rape their mothers, sisters, and cats, and then raid the fridge and run up their phone bills.
It was not the worst thing ever. I don't feel like my cat was raped or anything.
But I was disappointed. No, I won't do a spoiler here (I fear the wrath of the community!). Honestly, though, does anybody feel like we got the "big" answers? The important stuff? Or did we get a lot of, "Well, it might be..."?
I stopped watching Heroes because I kept having to ask my son to explain to me what was going on. I'm afraid I feel a bit like that with this finale.
That being said, I'm reserving my copy of this final set of the DVDs. It's still the best show produced in this decade.
Definitely not a WHAM BAM PLOW! type of finale, but it didn't really leave me disappointed. I guess the producers got their message across, while not doing a 180 to try and shock everybody. That would've been worse. I did however feel kind of sad to see Admiral Adama during the last few scenes. I also loved the cameo appearance towards the final few minutes. Those of you that caught "The Last Frakkin Special" or any other cast interviews should know who it was.
Sorry, I had too many tabs opened up, and I accidentally posted the above response here, when I meant for it to go here: http://www.sliceofscifi.com/2009/03/22/grade-the-battlestar-galactica-series-finale/
